This is great advice. Many clients in the past have not received this type of service or advice from their mortgage adviser and many advisers have merely taken their fees and commissions from the lenders and product providers and haven't provided anything back in terms of service to the client.

The world is changing and in the future only those mortgage brokers and advisers which have a clearly defined ongoing service proposition will survive.

This is sound advice. Lenders do not want to repossess houses, it is a last resort and there is help available. The latest crisis is a great wake up call and lenders are being held slightly accountable at least for irresponsible lending.
The best advice is to get advice!
